You said: There is no such thing as a, "gay Christian" (meaning sexually active). That's like saying a, "stealing Christian".

By that definition, I think it would be safe to say that you believe every person who supports and defends a verifiable, lascivious, misogynistic, and racist leader is not a "Christian" because they're living a life that empowers sinful behaviors. So all those racists are not Christian? Correct? How about gossiping Christians? Egotistical Christians? Are they also "not Christian"?

I could go on, but I think you get my point. Where do we draw the line at how a person lives their life before we rescind their "Christianity?"

Also, I have to categorically disagree with your assessment of the importance of translations. What biblical characters spoke and to whom they spoke it is paramount in truly understanding what really happened and how we are to understand it. It's foundational to biblical epistemology. A dozen different translations can give you a dozen different ways to interpret what the bible says, and therefore how you live your life.

I'm happy you have a sense of confidence in your belief and the foundation of that belief. I've met others who are equally confident in their beliefs which are in some ways very different than yours. Who's to say which one of you is right?
