Amazon Prime’s “The Man in the High Castle” (and the book of the same name), tells the story of a dystopian alternate reality where the Allies lose to the Axis powers in World War II. The US is annexed, split, and occupied by Japan on the west and Germany on the east.

Because we Americans always see ourselves as “the good guys,” defending the world from authoritarian forces that want to take our freedoms, this kind of dystopian narrative is the go-to formula for a nail-biting thriller.

But have you ever stopped to consider… what would this world look like if instead of fighting Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito, we JOINED them?

What if the “day that went down in infamy” on December 7, 1941, was infamous not because of an attack on Pearl Harbor, but a meeting? A meeting where Hirohito and FDR negotiate a pact where the US agrees to help the Axis powers divvy up the world, and we help Japan secure Asia, and Hitler and…
