That sounds like a good strategy Dave. The 10–14 days seems like a good cadence since it’s only 6 chapters. My book is nearly 40 chapters and I want to have it fully up by November. I’m actually going to time it so that the final chapters post near the elections.

For each of my chapters, I have links to the previous and next chapters. Since I’ve set up my book as its own publication, it’s always easy to get back to the beginning. But, if I were in your shoes where my book was part of some other pub, then yes, I think having a link back to chapter 1 is good.

Depending on how long the chapters are, you might want to start each chapter with a short summary of what’s happened to that point. People who have been following will know to scroll past, and newcomers can read the summary. It’s similar to what I did here:

In that summary, you could have links to chapter 1. That way 1) you’re giving newcomers some context and bearing, and 2) the link back to chapter 1 feels organic. Make sense?

Anyway, come back to this response thread and let me know when you start publishing it. I’d love to take a look.

Good luck.
