OMG! You don’t know how effective something like this is in many aspects of life. I write about a similar situation in my memoir of a time when I could not get rid of blasphemous thoughts. The more I tried to stop them, the more they kept coming. On the advice of a psychiatrist, I did exactly what Bill Hader did. Not only did I not try to fight them, I welcomed them like a friend. And that is how they eventually went away.
