I appreciate your response. But we are definitely living in a post modern era of race and religion. But, it’s obvious that the purpose of this title is not to not nitpick the specific philosophical and epistemological origins of modernism and post modernism.

The issues are the terms and practices employed today by many in conservative spaces, most of whom (but certainly not all) are white and Christian.

Part of that problem is a misunderstanding or mischaracterization of CRT. Another issue, which you did in your response, is the invocation of God and religion to maintain a status quo of systemic racism. That whole God created us all equal narrative, or that we should focus on the gifts God has given us, and not color, is a convenient and dare I say “privileged” outlook on the situation.. Well, 1) some people affected by the aforementioned racism don’t believe in God, and 2) the many more that do don’t believe in the same “God” that you do.

So, aside from your disagreement on my use of the word “post modern,” is there anything in the body of the piece you take issue with? If so, why?
